			DN Designs Collection supported Innocence in Danger in the Tarbouche Project
			Dahouk Chamsi-Pasha was among 40 designers invited by Mouna Rebeiz to design and exhibit a Tarbouche at the Saatchi Gallery in London in collaboration with Innocence in Danger. The NGO was founded in 1999 and is a worldwide movement for the protection of children against all forms of sexual abuse. The Tarbouche Project raised £50,000 in an online auction conducted by Gavel and grand for Innocence in Danger. DN Designs displayed its tarbouche alongside those of artists, architects and designers including Giles Deacon, Zaha Hadid, Elie Saab and Lanvin Paris. This tarbouche highlights the intertwining relationship between man and woman, focusing on the ever changing, yet, symbiotic nature of its foundation. The solid base of the tarbouche, made in wood and lined with mother of pearl, represents the strength, softness and creativity of woman that allows man to reach his ever growing potential. The tarbouche evokes reflection as to the significance and importance of the role that a woman plays in the advancement of man, whilst encapsulating the subdued and somewhat removed place that woman is granted in this development. The tarbouche's hollow top encapsulates the fragility of man's status, and suggests that the dominance accorded to him is sometimes based on falsity and emptiness."

			We are taking part in "the tarbouche project"by Mouna Rebeiz, an exhibition held at the Saatchi Gallery in London, to raise funds for "Innocence en danger" charity through the auctioning of exclusively designed tarbouches. Exhibition runs from the 26th of Feb till the 3rd of march. Bidding on line on gavelandgrand.com/auctions has started and ends on the 8th of march 2015 at 5pm
